today....

today i had all the good intentions to be patient with my children.....
that was before they decided that 5:30 was a good time to wake up.

today i had all the good intentions to clean my house....
that was before i saw the huge mess in my kitchen.
Seriously sometimes it feels like the weekend is just one huge drunken college party that no one remembers and no one cleans up. Seriously.

today i had all the good intentions to be crafty....
that was before i remember how much energy is takes to be crafty.

today i had all the good intentions to spend less time on the internet....
that was before 6 am this morning.

today it might seem like i have gotten nothing done....
but that was before Emma reminded me that we need to pray
and Jacob telling me it was time to read scriptures.
and just the time spent reading a book to my kids.

Today i had all the good intentions to a good mother.....
sometimes my kids help me do that.
and  it is okay not to be perfect.
Tomorrow i can try again.
